I’d like to invite you to aN open social and ceremonial celebration of the next primary seasonal change of the Winter Solstice. Please mark your calendars and keep Thursday, December 21st, 2023 free to come gather at the Affelder House in The West Woods of the Geauga Park District. (address below).

This gathering will begin with a light vegetarian supper, mulled cider and festive desserts. There will be a primed co-created ceremony honoring the traditions and values of the chthonic dark and this longest night of the year and our invocation and honoring of of the Bright Forces, as well as the compassionate spirits who attend us in our individual and communal journeys on the Earth, and an opportunity to share stories and music related to these observances. It will also be a good time to celebrate with friends and meet new ones, cultivating the opportunity for nurturing earth-based relationships on a planet so in need of our presence this way.

*If you look up the address for Affelder House yourself to navigate, please do not use the Kinsman Road address as it will not bring you to the Affelder House but to a different part of the West Woods.

what to bring: a candle; a wildlife safe offering for the earth; your own mug

Please feel free to bring friends and family who are at least in their teen years. I do request that you either go to my website to sign up simply so I make sure we don’t go over the maximum occupation for Affelder House and so I bring what’s needed for dinner, or send me a confirmation email in response to this notice to damaris@damarischrystal.com
